MISSION

WWO Vietnam aims to improve the medical and psychosocial support services for orphans, vulnerable children and youth by strengthening capacity of service providers, caregivers and families in hands-on training and coaching, and by facilitating networking and referrals between organizations working with children.

CORE VALUES

WWO Vietnam strives to implement its mandate with uncompromising core values: LOVE - SAFETY - RESPECT to orphans, vulnerable children and youth for balanced development, in participatory Partnership with local implementers and international practitioners to ensure Effectiveness and Sustainability of the program.

APPROACH

WWO believes in a HOLISTIC approach so that the needs of children on its program are addressed in a COMPREHENSIVE manner.  We endeavor to accomplish our mission by:

  • Identify the unique needs of orphaned children in institutional and communities settings in Vietnam and address those needs through medical, developmental, psychosocial and educational programs that are respectful of cultural norms in each setting;
  • Nurture orphaned children with the love and attention that is every child's birthright, so they may grow, learn play and, ultimately, lead productive, dignified adult lives.
  • Encourage strategic partnerships with like-minded organizations, both in-country and internationally, so WWO can extend its reach, use its resources effectively and ensure sustainability.
