June 16th 2016: It was a great pleasure for Worldwide Orphans in Vietnam (WWO) to host the HVIET Summer Campers (Harvard Vietnam) in our Center for Excellence today! In the space of two hours, the Campers were exposed to the work of a US-based Not-for-profit Organization operating in Vietnam to define the concept “Social Development”.
After a brief introduction to WWO works in Vietnam, the group got thoroughly engaged in a training session on Music in Motion, one of the various interventions that WWO provides in our Vietnam programs and in other countries where WWO is operative. The training was a practical demonstration that hopefully gave the campers an idea about how we can do serious work with a lot of fun. This is also our philosophy of the Element of Play.
The organizer believed that after the session, all campers can go back and put what they learned today in practice with children in their circles of life. It is observable that this visit has planted some seed of interest and given food for thought for the young visitors when they start to map out their university path and future career!
